1-person to 4 person teams. Awards for the best 2-person to 3 person teams.
Basic play
Teams of one to four members visit as many
checkpoints as possible in the time allowed.
Checkpoints are scored one point for checkpoints 10 to 19,
two points for checkpoints 20 to 29,
etc.
Late teams will have one point deducted for every minute they are late -
starting at one second late.
Teams travel entirely on foot, navigating by map and compass between checkpoints in terrain that varies from open farmland to hilly forest.
Team members stay within earshot of each other.
Earn a free entry by helping with checkpoint pickup, some restrictions apply.
Winning teams will be both physically fit and good navigators.
Teams travel at their own pace, so anyone from children to grandparents can experience the personal satisfaction that comes from cross-country navigation at their own level of competition and comfort.
